REMACUT has been developing the electric driven winches for the abandonment and recovery purpose of the pipe lay operations.

REMACUT's winches have the built-in possibility to operate both in speed and tension control, if equipped with load cells). The position control mode can be easily implemented, if specifically requested by the customer at the order.

The winding system can be mechanically driven for fixed rope diameter operations, or electrically driven with an electronic control (derived from NC machine tools) for different rope diameters. In this case the simple variation of a software parameter can modify the operating performance of the machine.

The control system is designed to automatically transfer the pull from the tensioners to the winch and vice-versa without the loss of the automatic tension control.

The machines can be equipped with high precision fixed measuring sheaves or mobile tension meters completed with load cells.

UMBILICAL SPOOLING WINCHES

This kind of winches are used to ease the internal line up clamp operation though the winding up and down of the clamps' umbilical cables into the pipe strings being processed.

If required these machines can also perform the hanging, lifting and lowering of the clamps.

Umbilical spooling winches can be equipped with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and optical fibre rotating couplings and wave compensators.
