REMACUT
can design and manufacture dedicated machines employed in the clamping of
pipes during specified process conditions.
The
following picture shows a machine that has been designed to perform the clamping
of sacrificial anodes on a 24" pipe applying a clamping load of 60 tons.
The
process can be manually commanded and controlled by an operator through a
dedicated control desk.
The
machine consists of a base trolley that moves on rails through a track pinion
device driven by a hydraulic motor. This trolley supports some structural parts
that are designed, installed and actuated to allow the three axial movement of
the clamp.
-
A
revolving support is installed on the trolley through a fifth wheel with the
purpose to move the clamp from the pipe axis to the anode installation
position and back. The rotation movement is provided through a hydraulic
jack.
-
A
lever equipment actuated by hydraulic jacks is installed on the revolving
support to lift and lower the clamp during the pipe approaching and clamping
phases, and to adjust the planar position of the clamp with respect to the
pipe axis.
The
clamping device is installed on top of the above lever equipment so that it
can be adjusted in height and position and the shocks transmitted by the processed
pipe can be absorbed by the actuating hydraulic jacks.
The
clamp consists of a lower frame the supports two half shells actuated by
hydraulic jacks, and an hinged upper structure that is similar to the lower one
and has the purpose to support other two upper shells.
The
shells have the purpose to hold the sacrificial anodes. They can be opened and
closed to allow the anodes installation.
The
clamp subassembly is completed by the hydraulic jacks that exert the squeeze
pressure on the anodes and by a mechanical blocking device that ensure the clamp
closure before starting the pressing action.
The
machine is completed by an electrical and control system that powers and
controls all the machine functions, and by a hydraulic system powered by a
dedicated hydraulic power pack that is supplied together with the machine and
that can be installed besides the machine itself.
