REMACUT was established in 1952 in RIVOLI, which is located in North-west
Italy, near Torino, the capital of Italy's car industry. At the
beginning its main activity was the production and refurbishment
of high precision machine tools for all the major world-wide car
and truck companies. This experience in the production of high precision
equipment - such as transfer machine tools and part-handling systems
for industry - together with extremely dynamic engineering research,
in 1974 was successfully transferred to the offshore technology:
REMACUT was chosen by SAIPEM for the construction of one of the
most advanced pipe-lay barges in the world, the CASTORO SEI.
REMACUT's
experience
in the offshore industry successfully grew in the following years, with the
study, the production and development of new advanced surface and subsea equipment.
REMACUT can currently assist world-wide customers and operators for the engineering,
construction, factory tests, on-board commissioning and operation of complete
systems, both surface and subsea.
All mechanic, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric systems are engineered and
built in REMACUT by experienced technicians.
The
early introduction of computerised facilities for engineering (CAD and FEM
calculation programs), which have been used since 1985, allow the development
of high quality equipment.
REMACUT's
strength is the continuous research the newest available technology to be
used in the current production, in order to provide a real high quality products
at the cutting edge of the field to all the customers.
