Since
the beginning, REMACUT has been developing electric driven pipe tensioners,
both open and closed structures, for flexible and rigid pipes. The conversion
of many hydraulic driven tensioners into electric driven machines has demonstrated
the success of REMACUT's technology.
The
tensioner's squeeze system can be either pneumatic or hydraulic. Each of the
squeeze system's rollers is free to move on the full stroke, thereby eliminating
stress concentration on the pipe coating.

The
new generation of oscillating saddles allows an even distribution of the clamping
force, therefore minimising the contact pressure in the pipe surface, so that
high pull forces can be achieved by shorter machines.
The
control system operates and monitors all the machine
functions, which are reported to the control desks.
Our current backlog
production covers a pull force range from 25 to 175 tons, with studies and preliminary
engineering for machines up to a 400 tons capacity.
